Ester is based in Brazil as part of PPP’s sister organisation People’s Palace Projects do Brasil.
A graduate with a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Pontificia Universidade Católica from Brazil, Ester speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. She has experience in radio, TV, and web journalism with feminist magazines such as Las Copadas from Chile y la Antígona, Peru. She has also worked with social media content production in political campaigns, at a start-up and for a research organization.
Ester worked for FIFA in the last two FIFA World Cups as a media assistant, also covering the competitions for TV Horizonte and Radio Itatiaia in Minas Gerais, Brazil. She has a deep interest in the power of arts for social change, which led her to specialize in gender equality and representation in the media through a CPD at the University of Strathclyde and a MOOC at Chicas Poderosas. Currently, she works part-time as a Digital Communication Assistant at People’s Palace Projects do Brasil and as a Public Relations freelancer for Sherlock Communications agency.
